I have been working on my genealogy in fits and starts since about 1990, when my grandfather passed away and I inherited his research. I volunteer for FamilySearch indexing, Find-A-Grave, and Books We Own. I am happy to talk to you about any of those volunteer opportunities.
I just completed my degree in Paralegal Studies and work full-time in a small law firm in Chattanooga, Tennessee. No, I have no plans to go to law school (I hate lawyers).
I am a member of the National Genealogical Society, New England Historic Genealogical Society, South Dakota Historical Society, and the Delta Genealogical Society (NW Georgia/SE Tennessee). I have plans to begin thinking about possibly starting to study to obtain my genealogist's certification (is that non-committal enough?).
I am a member of Genealogists in SecondLife and a founding member of the Original Genealogy Success Team (with Laura of It's All Relative).
Aside from work, blogging, and my genealogy research, in my spare time I like to ... wait ... I forgot, I don't have any spare time. If I had spare time, I would watch the birds in my yard (and watch my cats watching the birds in my yard), travel, and write.
